Centris Residential Sales Statistics — March 2026
Montreal and Quebec City Census Metropolitan Areas (CMA)

Île-des-Sœurs, April 2, 2026 – The Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers (QPAREB) today released its data for March 2026. The latest residential real estate market statistics for the Montreal Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) and the Quebec City Census Metropolitan Area (CMA) are based on the provincial Centris database of real estate brokers.

Montreal CMA

During March 2026, real estate brokers completed 5,045 residential property transactions, a 2% increase compared to March 2025, ending a streak of four consecutive months of declines. Despite this modest increase, the overall performance of the Montreal market lags slightly behind the average sales volume observed over the past 10 years (5,245 sales).

Quebec City CMA

Residential sales in the Quebec City CMA territory totalled 1,027 in March 2025. This is a minor increase of 1 per cent, or 6 transactions, compared to the same period last year. Note that this level of transactional activity is above the historical average for this time of year since the Centris system began compiling market data in 2000.
