L’île-des-Soeurs, June 30, 2021 – Marc Lacasse, president of the QPAREB board of directors, was interviewed today to talk about the new standards for the installation of electric vehicle charging stations in multi-unit buildings.

The Quebec government has banned the sale of new gasoline vehicles in Quebec starting in 2035, which means that the millions of electric vehicles that will be on Quebec’s roads in a few years will need to be charged every day.

Thus, being able to charge your electric vehicle in all buildings will be the new normal. It is therefore particularly important to consider the need that homebuyers will have – the need to live in a building that has charging stations for their vehicles.
